Starvation State Park

Starvation State Park and Reservoir is located about four miles northwest of Duchesne, Utah. This state park has a number of amenities and activities available, and campers enjoy modern conveniences. Starvation State Park has camping sites available for both tent and RV campers.
Activities
Campers and day-trippers have a variety of options when visiting Starvation State Park. Bird watching, wildlife viewing and picnicking are available. Young visitors can join the Junior Ranger program. Water sports such as wake-boarding and skiing are very popular at Starvation State Park. Motorboats, sailboats, kayaks and canoes are all permitted, and sunbathers can lie on sandy beaches. Fishing is allowed year round, so visitors can enjoy ice fishing in the winter. There are trails for off-road vehicles near the park.
Amenities
Modern toilets are available for use, as is a shower. Sewage disposal for RVs is also available, and there is drinking water on site. Starvation State Park is pet-friendly so dog are welcome.
Fees
If visitors plan to visit the park often, a $75 annual pass is a good option. There is a seven dollar fee per vehicle (including watercraft launches) for day use. Seniors receive a discounted day-use rate of four dollars and a discounted annual pass for $35.
Starvation State Park and Reservoir is an excellent choice for a family camping trip as there are many activities to choose from. Modern conveniences offer a pleasant camping experience for those who do not like to "rough it". There are more primitive, secluded camping sites available as well.
