Otter Creek State Park

Otter Creek State Park is home to one of Utah's best trout fisheries, Otter Creek Reservoir. The park also offers a beautiful campground and boat launch.

Description and activities

Utah's Otter Creek State Park is popular among fishermen and ATV enthusiasts. The main campground offers 53 spots for tents or RVs, and modern bathrooms and showers are available. Otter Creek Park is also a favorite spot for hunters to make a base camp. Elk and deer are plentiful in the mountains nearby. There is direct access to three ATV trails. Otter Creek Reservoir is a prime fishery and home to rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, brown trout and small mouth bass. Birding is also an activity that is enjoyed in the spring and fall, as many bird species travel through the park on their journey through the Pacific Migratory Bird Flyway. The park is open year-round, with no closings for holidays.

Fees

There are a few entrance fees to the park. The day use fee is $5 per vehicle, which includes use of watercraft launches. The cost is $3 for Utah seniors 62 and over. Regular visitors can buy a $75 annual pass. Seniors are eligible for the $35 Senior Adventure annual pass.

Location and contact information

Otter Creek State park is approximately 220 miles south of Salt Lake City, near the town of Antimony. From the junction of US Hwy 89 and Utah Hwy 62, follow Hwy 63 east for about 11 miles to Otter Creek Reservoir and the intersection with Utah Hwy 22. Follow U-22 for 0.5 miles to the state park.
