Flight Park State Recreation Area

Flight Park State Recreation Area is a park dedicated to paragliding and hang gliding and is located along the southern side of Point of the Mountain, near Lehi, Utah. Maintenance of the park and recreational area is a combined effort of the Utah State Parks Service and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association.
Location and availability
Flight Park is located 24 miles south of Salt Lake City and it is open all year long. Despite its constant availability, overnight camping is not permitted within the recreational area, though reservations for tent and RV camping are available within a very close proximity. Restrooms, showers, sewer and potable water facilities are all located within a short distance of the park.

Trails for off road vehicles, lakes for boating and pristine golf courses are just a few of the amenities available locally, for those who are not interested in leaving the ground. Situated upon thousands of acres of open landscape, Flight Park State Recreation Area offers miles of trails accessible by vehicle, foot or horseback. Situated in the desert, the park delivers plenty of sunny weather and unbroken visibility that stretches for miles. The Great Western, Pony Express and Mormon Pioneer trails allows visitors to hike along the historic paths that settled the American West.
