If you are looking for a beautiful place to have an outdoor adventure with the whole family, then Deer Creek State Park in Utah is a great place to do it. Located in the southwest corner of the gorgeous Heber Valley, you can find one of the most popular places to fish and boat in all of Utah.

Location, activities and fees

Deer Creek State Park is just a short drive from Provo, Utah, and approximately 48 miles from Salt Lake City. It is located 10 miles south of Heber City, along Highway 189, in the Heber Valley. There are many things to do at Deer Creek State Park, including, but not limited to, swimming, boating, picnicking, ice fishing, regular fishing, camping, wind surfing and sunbathing. For a day trip, the cost is $10 per vehicle. For Utah residents over 62 years old, the cost is $5. Annual passes are available as well for $75 ($35 for seniors). The park has two camping locations, one with hook ups and one without. The camping ground with hookups costs $25 for a night, while the one without hookups is $16.

Deer Creek State Park has full-service campsites with many amenities. It has campsites with full hookups, paved boat ramps in the marinas, modern restrooms, food service, showers and boat rentals. There are also an assortment of hiking trails around the campsites.
