Arches National Park

Explore more than 2000 sandstone arches and rock formations at Arches National Park in Utah. These spectacular formations were carved by millions of years of wind and water erosion. The park offers more than 70,000 acres of explorable land and rests just outside Moab, Utah. Visitors of all ages are sure to find exciting activities to fill the day.

Hiking at Arches

If you are an avid backpacker or day-hiker, Arches offers trails of all difficulty. There are multiple trailheads to access the back-country. If you are seeking a multi-day adventure, prepare for the unpredictable weather that brings 100 degree heat one day and downpours the next. For those wanting a quick day hike, there are also loop trails that are mild to moderately graded, some of which are handicap-accessible.

Traveling by car

If you prefer exploring the park by car, there are two major routes to take. The first is the Windows Section of the park, which offers views of some of the park's most monumental formations. To reach the largest arch in the park, opt to travel to Delicate Arch Viewpoint, and stop at the Wolfe Ranch to experience life in the late 1800s.

In addition to hiking and car travel, Arches National Park has a full-fledged visitors center. Here, you can participate in ranger-led hikes and interpretive walks. There are activities for your children, where they can learn about the geological activities that formed this spectacular landscape. Tent sites are available for a stay at the campground, and a few are accessible to accommodate RVs. No matter your vacation goals, Arches is sure to offer something for you.
