Utah State and National Parks

Enjoy Every Activity Utah Has to Offer

Utah state parks consist of 43 parks and undeveloped areas which total over 95,000 acres of land. These parks started off with four heritage parks in 1957: Sugar House Park, Utah Territorial Statehouse, This Is Place Monument and Camp Floyd. There are various activities for families to enjoy within the Utah State Park System.

Whether one is fishing from the shore or boating, this park system is home to many water hot spots such as Rockport and Scofield. For camping, one can have peace of mind when it comes to reserving a campsite, cabin or yurt because the park system consists of 2,000 campsites. For those who have not tried geocache hunting, a high-tech treasure hunt using a global positioning satellite (GPS) unit, this is a great place to try the extremely fun activity.

The Utah State Park System makes for a great family or individual adventure. There is an activity for everyone, whether it is hiking, camping, geocache hunting or simply just enjoying nature.
